About This Project

This project features a cinematic, alternative take on luxury, directed with a focus on raw, “grunge-chic” aesthetics. The grade is designed to embrace the melancholic and rebellious mood of the character.
Complementary Contrast: The core of the grade lies in the interplay between the model’s vibrant red hair and the muted, earthy tones of the distressed interior. This complementary contrast makes the character pop against the desaturated, textured background of the torn wallpaper.
Mood & Atmosphere: The overall palette is moody and “underexposed” in the shadows, creating a sense of intimacy and informal grit. Cold, desaturated blues in the shadows balance the warmth of the hair and skin.
Grungy Textures: The grading emphasizes the raw details of the environment — the peeling wallpaper and cluttered room — giving the film a filmic, lo-fi quality that breaks away from traditional “polished” beauty standards.
Skin Rendering: Despite the heavy atmosphere, the skin tones are kept natural and translucent, preserving the model’s unique “alternative” look while maintaining a high-end commercial feel.
