About This Project

This project explores a radical departure from traditional luxury palettes, embracing a bold, high-octane aesthetic directed by Axel Morin. The color grade is built on chromatic intensity and high-fashion energy.

Electric Color Blocking: The visual foundation relies on a striking juxtaposition of vibrant electric blue and neon lemon yellow backgrounds. These “acidic” tones were graded to achieve maximum saturation while maintaining professional clarity and commercial appeal.

Diverse Skin Tone Rendering: A central focus of the grading process was the representation of melanin‑rich skin and diverse ethnicities. By enhancing natural sheen and using specular highlights, the grade creates a sculpted, “metallic” glow on the Afro‑French and Asian models, emphasizing texture and vitality.

Hyper‑Real Contrast: To balance the explosive background colors, the shadows are kept deep and inky. This ensures a graphic, three‑dimensional pop that keeps the focus on the collection’s silhouettes.

Modern Avant‑Garde: Moving away from soft pastels, the grade utilizes a high‑density digital look that aligns Dior’s heritage with contemporary streetwear and global culture.
